How does Fudiesel match intercooler core size to a vehicle duty cycle?

Oct 15th,2026 15 Views

Intercooler core selection at Fudiesel starts with how the vehicle is actually used, not with the largest core that fits. A core has to remove the heat the engine produces under sustained load, so a truck that tows on long grades or works in a hot climate is served by a core with more face area and charge rows than a car used for short trips and occasional boost. Core type is matched as well, since a bar and plate core and a tube and fin core behave differently in heat rejection, pressure drop and resistance to impact damage. Where the buyer cannot measure load conditions directly, Fudiesel works from the engine, the boost level and the duty the vehicle sees to size the core and the end tanks together. The selected core, tank layout and connection sizes are confirmed against the drawing or the physical sample and recorded in the written quotation.
