Fudiesel produces an aluminum cold air intake system with a heat shield for the 2016 to 2020 Toyota Tacoma in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The heat shield is the part that decides whether the change is worth making, because a filter left open in the engine bay draws air that has already absorbed heat from the exhaust and radiator. The shield encloses the filter against bay air and takes its feed from the cooler region ahead of the engine, while the aluminum pipe resists heat soak and holds its shape instead of flexing under load. Factory sensor positions are retained so the original sensor is reused, and the filter itself is a serviceable element rather than a sealed unit. Kits are developed from a sample, drawing or 3D scan and can be produced under a buyer's brand.
