Fudiesel produces sets of two CAC intercooler boots, head to spider, for the Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. Coverage includes the 1994 to 1997 trucks and the 1998 to early 1999 trucks as separate sets, because the charge air cooler plumbing differs between the two. On these engines the original boots are a known weak point, hardening and softening through heat cycles until they leak boost at the joint, after which the truck loses performance and builds smoke. The replacement boots are molded in reinforced silicone with a bore and bead matched to the original connection, so they seal on the factory clamps and tolerate the movement between the engine and the cooler. Color and branding can be specified, and the boots are matched to the approved sample before a production lot is released.
