Fudiesel produces a bar and plate performance transmission cooler for the 2017 to 2019 GM 6.6L Duramax fitted with the Allison transmission. Transmission fluid temperature is what limits a heavy truck under sustained load, and the factory cooler is sized for normal duty rather than for repeated towing in summer heat. The bar and plate core used here exposes more fluid to air in a compact envelope than a tube and fin core of the same footprint, which is why it is the usual choice when fluid temperature has to come down without moving the mounting point. The cooler is supplied with agreed inlet and outlet connections and mounting provision, and the assembly is confirmed against the application before production, with ODM cooling programs supported.
