Fudiesel produces a titanium cat-back exhaust muffler kit for the Nissan 370Z Z34 from 2009, listed under the reference TB6090-NS02A. Titanium is specified on this platform for weight and for the sharp high pitched note it produces, both of which matter on a rear drive coupe where the system hangs behind the axle. The cat-back replaces the factory pipework from the catalytic converter back, so flow is improved and the weight over the rear is reduced, and the piping is mandrel bent to keep the bore constant through every curve. Joints are fully TIG welded with shielding gas inside the tube to stop the internal weld face oxidizing, which is the detail that decides how long a titanium system lasts.
