How does Fudiesel cure a silicone hose after forming?

Oct 21st,2026 5 Views

Curing is the step that turns a formed silicone hose from a soft, unstable shape into a finished part, and it decides whether the hose keeps the geometry it was built on. After the silicone is wrapped or injected onto the mandrel the material is still uncured, so the polymer has not crosslinked and the hose can still flow, sag or shrink. Curing is carried out with the hose held on its mandrel under heat, so crosslinking happens while the shape is fully supported. What this step controls is the degree and the evenness of cure. A hose that is undercured stays tacky, tears easily and keeps changing shape after it leaves the tool, while one that is overcured turns brittle and loses the elasticity it needs to seal. Either fault appears later as a hose that will not fit or fails early in service. Fudiesel confirms cure and dimensional requirements against the drawing or the supplied sample and states them in the written quotation.
